A Case of Follicular Bronchitis/Bronchiolitis

Abstract
|
|
|
icular Bronchitis/Bronchiolitis was represented by coalescent reactive germinal center adjacent airways in the absence of clinical or pathologic evidence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or bronchiectasis.
There clincopathologic groups were identified :
1) Patients with connective tissue diseases, especially rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's
syndrome.
2) Paients with a familial form of disease or with immunodeficiency syndrome.
3) Heterogenous group of patients with frequent peripheral eosinophilia, suggestinging
hypersensitivity reaction.
Prognosis is related with age at the time of biopsy and to some extent, with clinical
group.
We experienced a case of Follicular Bronchitis/Bronchiolitis and present a report with
review of the literatur.
This is the first open lung biopsy proven case among Korean.
